Learning about his past - The heir to power
When Wu Ma encounters Liu Quan who has become a beggar, he can't help but inquire about the 'Divine Skills Camp' and his own origins that Liu Quan once mentioned. Shan Yue finally reveals Wu Ma's true identity and tells him about his father Wu Zhi's heroic deeds; Shan Yue also takes Liu Quan back to the Taoist temple to live. On the other hand, the capital city is hosting a martial arts exchange competition, and Tai Bei and others are discussing which disciple should represent them in the battle.
Zigu, who fled to Shanghai, can only drown her sorrows in drink. But when she is chased by the inn for rent, she finds that she has lost her wallet; while arguing with the owner, she gets injured and faints. Not wanting any trouble, the owner moves her outside the inn. In the morning, Duan Xiaoxing was playing with classmates when he suddenly discovered a woman in the grass; he took this woman to the hospital, and after the doctor's diagnosis, it was said that the woman could not speak and had amnesia. Originally, Xiaoxing is Tai Bei's only son, but after going abroad for study, he hasn't returned to the capital for many years; however, he received news of his father's serious illness, knowing well that it was false information, he decided to return to the capital to reunite with his family. When Zigu in the hospital did not want to go to the complex asylum, she escaped and met Xiaoxing again; Xiaoxing also decided to take her back to the capital.
After returning to the martial arts school, everyone warmly welcomed Xiaoxing except they were curious why he brought a woman back. Seeing his son return, Tai Bei actively engaged in combat with Xiaoxing; realizing that his son's kung fu was not rusty, he accepted the tea offering from his son. On the other hand, in order to improve Wu Ma's skills to another level, Shan Yue made him wear specially designed clothing to practice kung fu.
To keep Zigu - Xiaoxing participates in the competition
Everyone expressed strong dissatisfaction at Xiaoxing placing Zigu, whose origins were unknown, in the martial arts school; on the other hand, there was also disagreement within the Canglong Sect regarding the selection of participants for the exchange meeting. The third uncle favored the eldest disciple Ma Qiang, but the second uncle Rong Bai Chuan wanted Xiaoxing to compete; finally, Bai Chuan came up with a plan, allowing Xiaoxing to agree to participate in the competition to ensure Zigu's stay.
On the day of the match, Xiaoxing displayed superior martial arts skills and defeated his opponent, also prompting Wu Ma to忍不住上台挑战；但当两人斗个难分难解之际，子规看见这场面后竟尖叫逃离，晓星为追她放弃比武。武术高手闾丘傲主动到道观挑战山越，虽被山越打败，但扬言再向他挑战。原来丘傲是柴威的义弟，他更得柴威之助才能四出学习武艺，因此他答应击倒山越后便会助柴威打天下。翠翘在街上遇上子规，欲向她相认时却被柴威发现；幸好晓星出现，更讹称子规是他的表妹，才令众人脱困。翠翘发现子规失忆，认为晓星能保护妹妹，决定暂不相认。
巫马主动挑战晓星，两人更相约翌日于竹林比试；但麻强等得悉此事后，却不想此事发生，更事先派人伏击巫马。巫马中伏大怒，竟直闯苍龙武馆‘踢馆’，当他一路打至内堂时，更遇上泰北；两人交手时，泰北突出现异状。

During the fight between Wu Ma and Tai Bei, Wu Ma was consistently at a disadvantage; but Tai Bei suddenly fell down, leaving Wu Ma at a loss. Coincidentally, Xiaoxing and Ma Qiang rushed back to the martial arts school respectively. Seeing this scene, everyone believed that Wu Ma was the murderer, and they kept chasing and killing him; when he was chased to the point of no escape, fortunately, Shan Yue appeared to rescue him, and Chai Wei intervened, allowing Wu Ma to pick up his life.
After the doctor examined the cause of death, it was found that Tai Bei died of heart failure. After learning from Bai Chuan that Tai Bei had a tendency to over-practice, Xiaoxing realized that he had wrongly accused a good person, and he voluntarily apologized to Wu Ma; but this move caused dissatisfaction among the disciples. When Shan Yue fought with Bai Chuan during the rescue of Wu Ma, he discovered that his martial arts were very similar to those of the black-robed men who dealt with the Wu family years ago. While arranging Tai Bei's funeral, the people of the martial arts school quarreled over the next leader; the third uncle openly supported Ma Qiang as the leader, but was opposed by Bai Chuan. Seeing that his father's body was still warm and there was internal strife, plus feeling unworthy of his father's expectations, Xiaoxing couldn't help but hide in a secluded place to grieve; seeing this, Zigu tried hard to console him, successfully making him recover. When Sang Qing helped Wu Ma practice, the two accidentally bumped into each other, simultaneously causing ripples in their hearts.
At Tai Bei's funeral, Bai Chuan unexpectedly requested Xiaoxing to swear in front of all guests to develop the Canglong Sect, greatly dissatisfying the third uncle, eventually leading to Ma Qiang and Xiaoxing deciding the next leader through a martial arts competition. In order for Xiaoxing to become the leader, Bai Chuan spared no effort to persuade Ma Qiang to pretend to lose, fulfilling Tai Bei's last wish.
Xiaoxing Wins Becomes Leader
Ma Qiang, in gratitude for Tai Bei's recognition, deliberately exposed weaknesses during the match, allowing Xiaoxing to knock him down and become the leader. News of Xiaoxing becoming the leader reached Cuizhao's ears; to find out her sister's condition, she sent Fengnian to visit Zigu. When Zigu discovered that Fengnian seemed to know about her background, she wouldn't let him go, even causing Xiaoxing and Bai Chuan to misunderstand Fengnian's intentions towards Zigu.
When Fengnian complained to Shan Yue, he mentioned that Bai Chuan was interested in the jade pendant on his body, and said that his missing daughter also had this jade pendant, so he got violent; in order to investigate this matter, Shan Yue went back to the village to investigate, eventually proving that Sang Qing was very likely Bai Chuan's daughter. When Shan Yue told Liu about this matter, both of them couldn't help but feel that fate was playing tricks on them. In order to let Wu Ma put down the hatred in his heart and further improve his skills, Shan Yue asked Sang Qing for help; Liu Quan pretended to be drunk to reveal the truth, and Shan Yue and others arranged for Wu Ma to see a scene of 'murdering witnesses'. Wu Ma wanted revenge, but Sang Qing said this would be like suicide, and suggested that Wu Ma should first learn Shan Yue's martial arts before seeking revenge. Wu Ma accepted this idea, and successfully used imagination to practice martial arts with his father Wu Zhi, thus greatly improving his skills.
Aunt Mi arrived in the capital city and discovered the relationship between Fengnian and Cuizhao, having a poor impression of Cuizhao; she took Fengnian to the Taoist temple to pick up Sang Qing to go home, but was refused by her. Bai Chuan lied to Zigu saying Xiaoxing was looking for her, taking her to a desolate mountain area, and claimed to drive her away from the martial arts school.
The lost Zigu luckily encountered Wu Ma practicing nearby, who took her back to the Taoist temple.
Memory Restored Painfully
Zigu temporarily stayed in the Taoist temple where Wu Ma and others lived; seeing the extremely sad Zigu, Sang Qing voluntarily consoled her but it was ineffective, causing her to run away from the Taoist temple. While aimlessly wandering on the mountain, Zigu accidentally rolled down the hill, thereby recovering her memory. Sang Qing discovered that Wu Ma intended to poison Shan Yue, panicking and revealing her true feelings for Wu Ma, thus stopping his rash action.
Xiaoxing finally found Zigu, but Zigu didn't say that she had recovered her memory, just hugging Xiaoxing and crying; Bai Chuan was very dissatisfied with Xiaoxing bringing Zigu back to the martial arts school, leading to an initial conflict between the two. In order to resolve Wu Ma's hatred, Shan Yue decided to take him to the mountain for practical training. He also told Sang Qing and Liu Quan that he would create an opportunity for Wu Ma to kill him, and he firmly believed that Wu Ma's affection for him would make Wu Ma stop at the brink. Zigu secretly met Cuizhao, and the sisters finally reunited. Zigu encountered Chai Wei on the street, and was caught by him and taken back to Xu Jiang's house; originally, Xu Jiang's son had returned to the capital to recuperate, so Xu Jiang hoped to quickly continue the family line. Upon hearing this, Xiaoxing wanted to mobilize the entire martial arts school to rescue, fortunately receiving support from Ma Qiang and others.
When Zigu was taken into Xu Jiang's son's room, she found him to be a good person; Xiaoxing led everyone to Xu Jiang's house demanding release, and just as the situation became chaotic, Xu Jiang's son appeared, allowing Zigu to leave and publicly announcing the annulment of their marriage. During the special training on the mountain, Shan Yue collapsed from exhaustion trying to save the injured Wu Ma, and the awakened Wu Ma moved closer to him...
