Main characters of It turns out that I am not handsome:

Zhuang Junwei (played by JJ Lin)

Age: 20 years old

Major: Information Management sophomore

Clubs: Pigeon Racing Research Club, Foodie Club

Nicknames: Handsome Guy

Comedy is his nature; feigning ignorance is his weapon; hemorrhoids are his secret. The guy who looks cute in a stretch, unfortunately, meets Cindy, the campus beauty queen, at first sight and falls deeply in love with her. However, Zhuang's road to romance is anything but smooth. The first time he met Cindy, he was brutally beaten by her. The second time they met, she gave him a limited-edition "ugly card". Determined to improve himself, through relentless efforts, it seemed that Cindy was slowly starting to accept him. But life is always full of thorns and hardships. Cindy still rejected him and accepted the pursuit of the handsome captain of the basketball club. Once again, Zhuang suffered a cruel blow. At this point, Qiao Ping from the Pigeon Racing Club surprisingly confesses her feelings for Zhuang. Will Zhuang reciprocate Qiao Ping's feelings? Or will he continue to wait for Cindy with unwavering determination?

Si Si (played by Nino Lee)

Age: 20 years old

Major: Information Management sophomore

Clubs: Pigeon Racing Research Club, Campus Seven Wonders Truth Investigation Committee

Zhuang’s quirky roommate No.1, brimming with strange ideas. His special skill is telling cold jokes, and his forte is making people mentally exhausted within a minute. Spending more than an hour with him would make one feel like either you or he must die, with a tragic determination to rid society of such a nuisance. As the vice president of the Pigeon Club, Si Si claims he has contributed much to the campus community besides studying pigeon racing educational psychology, but unfortunately, he has never been recognized by teachers and classmates (Editor's note: Do you think everyone is as brain-dead as you?). Wang Lao, the pigeon, is Si Si's only soulmate. Just a glance is enough to understand each other without extra words. This touching story of mutual support between man and bird transcends species boundaries.

A Kang (played by Zhang Xun Jie)

Age: 111 years (a joke implying his agelessness)

Major: Information Management sophomore

Clubs: Pigeon Racing Research Club

Zhuang’s quirky roommate No.2, and also the founder and president of the Pigeon Racing Research Club. Always looking smug and self-assured, A Kang considers himself a playboy after having had a few romantic experiences. He loves to act as Zhuang's love counselor, famously saying: "A good teacher makes you send so many cards that you get annoyed, while a bad teacher makes you receive so many cards that you go soft!" (Editor's note: Referring to "good person cards"). Despite this, what drives Zhuang crazy is that following his advice never seems to lead to positive results! Although he is passionate about basketball, he conceals his superior ball skills.

Xu Xin Ting (played by Zeng Kai Xuan)

Age: 20 years old

Major: Business Management sophomore

Clubs: Foodie Club

Nickname: Gang Mei (meaning four times prettier than a regular hot girl, a new term among young people)

Height 161 cm, with chestnut long hair, and a cool, elegant style, Cindy is always the center of attention wherever she goes. Though suitors keep coming, Cindy always refuses them coldly, handing out "good person cards" without hesitation. Even when Zhuang mustered all his courage to confess his feelings to her, she gave him a limited-edition "ugly card", completely shattering his dream of being a handsome guy. No one knows that under Cindy's cold exterior lies a delicate heart. Because she secretly loves Zhao Wei (Stephen), her deceased sister's boyfriend, she does not look at boys her own age. But Zhao Wei always sees Cindy as a little sister.

Plot Introduction of It turns out that I am not handsome:

Since he can remember, "Zhuang" has always thought of himself as a handsome guy, and this belief is not entirely unfounded. From childhood to adulthood, whether relatives, elders, food stall owners, questionnaire girls, ticket scalpers, or classmates borrowing notes, everyone sincerely calls him "handsome guy." So, naturally, he believes he is indeed handsome... The person who awakens Zhuang from this handsome dream is none other than his two classmates and best friends, "Si Si," a quirky roommate full of humor and odd ideas, and the vice president of the Pigeon Club whose only confidant is an old pigeon named Wang Lao. "A Kang," a self-proclaimed suave womanizer and also the founder and president of the Pigeon Research Society, loves to be Zhuang's love analyst. What drives Zhuang crazy is that following his advice never seems to work right! In fact, Zhuang's connection with "Cindy" started early, even before they entered university. They once had an imperfect encounter. For Cindy, Zhuang even joined the Foodie Club. Then Zhuang gathered all his courage to confess his feelings to Cindy, only to hear her coldly reject him with a simple "no." Feeling as if he had been shot in the chest, Zhuang struggled to ask why. Cindy looked at him and said, "Because you are too ugly." In that moment, it felt like another bullet hit him.

With the addition of the beautiful "Qiao Ping" into the triangular equation of Cindy and Zhuang's complicated relationship, Si Si, already in a relationship with the eccentric "Pin Xuan," no longer has time to care about Zhuang. Meanwhile, A Kang encounters the hardest love triangle of his life, unable to help Zhuang due to his own issues with the clingy "Man Man." All three find themselves caught in emotional dilemmas, weaving a super romantic campus love comedy filled with laughter through tears and exhaustion.
