Movie Title: Barbaric Grandma vs. Mrs. Ke
Main Cast: Amy Wong, Hilda Wu, Bosco Huang, Kate Yeung, Liza Wang, Terence Hui
No mercy for her boss; ruthless to her enemies; impartial and stern to her subordinates; overly authoritarian towards her son... As the domineering editor-in-chief of a magazine, Ke Bik (Amy Wong) rules with an iron fist. In her eyes, there is only "first place," and in her world, the word "lose" does not exist. When she believes she controls tomorrow and can even dictate her son Ke Dek's (Bosco Huang) future life, an ordinary and tasteless woman named Zhou Limin (Hilda Wu) manages to successfully enter her house as Mrs. Ke. Limin abandons her career as a police officer to work in magazines, exacerbating the already strained mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship and moving the battlefield from inside the house to outside.
Later, due to a scandal involving an inappropriate relationship, Bik is maliciously framed by her capable assistant Ko Baobao (Liza Wang), causing her to lose power. Combined with conflicts with her daughter-in-law, this leaves Bik disheartened, leading her to retreat to an offshore island for solitude. It is here that she meets the erudite Uncle Bi Pingfan (Terence Hui), the second spring of her life, prompting Bik to self-reflect and learn to let go. Just as everything seems calm, Limin uncovers a conspiracy against the magazine company, revealing that it is on the brink of bankruptcy...
