On the day Po is transferred to the Po Leung Kuk, Gun voluntarily gives up the fight for custody. Geun discovers that Na came to Hong Kong on a two-way permit. She tells him the reason and rejects his advances. When Na meets Hyun asking him to repay his loan to go home, she is publicly humiliated by him. When Na returns home, she sees Geun waiting for her. Geun formally proposes to her, and Na, moved, accepts. Gun meets Po again, and both are reluctant to part. It turns out Po's biological father doesn't truly like her; he just wants a bloodline heir. Geun and Na get married, but Hyun secretly tells Geun that Na only regards him as a "lifeline" to stay in Hong Kong and that she had secretly met him. Geun is deeply shocked.

Yi requests to become Gun's representative lawyer and arranges for Po to appear in court. In court, Yi tells Gun "I love you" and promises the judge to take care of Po after marriage. Ming ostensibly agrees but takes the opportunity to film evidence, intending to use it as leverage to resign. Yook's bakery opens, and she specially delivers a cake to her first customer to thank him, discovering that person is Ming, who is preparing to propose to her. At this moment, a mysterious person breaks into the house and severely injures her.
