2010 CCTV-8 prime time historical legend-themed TV series "Blood Scent" full series. In the intricate espionage of "Blood Scent", the turbulent waves of a chaotic era are performed, and in the terrifying commercial battles, morality and righteousness are interpreted.

Plot Introduction:

In the summer of the 17th year of the Republic of China, amidst internal strife and external threats to China, the shocking international “Huanggutun Incident” brought a gloomy ending to the sixtieth birthday celebrations of Chu Tianchu, the old master of Zhenjiang's "Hengchang Workshop". As a national capital occupying half of the Jiangsu-Zhejiang brewing industry, Hengchang's forty-two workshops were poised for battle as the aggressive Japanese-funded "Jinghe" Company infiltrated Zhenjiang with substantial capital. Amidst this fierce competition, Chu Tianchu and his eldest son Qinghan met an enigmatic demise, while Su Qishan, the dominant force in Yangtze River water transport for twenty-four years and future in-law of the Chu family, was ambushed and killed along with seventeen members of his family. The undercurrents of the Yangtze River hinted at the bloodshed and turmoil that lay ahead—far beyond the foresight of any astute merchant. At this critical juncture, the third young master of the Chu family, Qingping, who had returned from studying abroad, resolutely stepped forward.

Soon after, white vinegar massively dumped by "Jinghe" along the river dominated the market, making it hard to find traditional Hengchang scented vinegar. Then came the mysterious and sudden large-scale contamination of their products. The Chu family, struggling to hold on, was forced to cut losses, leaving only thirty-six workshops hanging precariously. "Hengchang" secretly pursued the culprits, engaging in a battle of wits with "Jinghe." They also urgently took legal action against "Jinghe" for its illegal practices of mixing industrial acetic acid into white vinegar, endangering the public. Under pressure from the situation, Chu Qingping took a historic and crucial step for the Chu family: transforming traditional workshop-style production by emulating "Jinghe" and establishing their own bottled vinegar production line.

Behind the rivalry between the two companies, a greater contest unfolded between Japan's military secret organization, the Sakura Society, and the predecessor of the Nationalist Party’s Investigation Bureau — the Central Party Department Investigation Office — centered around Hengchang's seventeen workshops along the river. The moral righteousness amidst the commercial warfare intertwined with the backdrop of national peril. Every covert deal and every push of the wave harbored a larger conspiracy involving multiple forces including the Jianghu brotherhoods and warlords targeting "Hengchang." For wealth and murder, vengeance for old grudges, long-standing grievances in the Jianghu, and the ravages of the Japanese invaders, during this period, not only did the astute comprador of "Jinghe," Zhou Xiuzhang, remain a puppet of the Sakura Society while concealing his true feelings, but also the Director Jin of the Investigation Office suffered heavy losses. Before everything became clear, each turn of events led to previous efforts being wasted, and every surface ripple concealed a greater storm.

Just as news arrived from the river about the surviving orphan of the Su family, both real and fake Miss Su appeared one after another. The third and fourth of the sworn brothers from years ago temporarily formed an alliance, using the real and fake Miss Su to stir up continuous trouble, leading to more deaths, shrouding the Chu residence in a thick fog. Under immense pressure, the mute maid suddenly spoke, revealing the true identity of Miss Su. Meanwhile, there was always a pair of eyes watching everything clearly in the dark, manipulating events perfectly...

Centered around the issue of eligibility for participating in the Chicago World's Fair award, the business competition among multiple forces including the Chu family, the Sakura Society, the Central Party Department Investigation Office, the Jianghu brotherhoods, the southwestern warlords, the third and fourth sworn brothers, and the Chu residence reached its final stage. Young Master Qingping narrowly escaped death in a shootout at a social cocktail party. Realizing overnight, he made the painful decision to sell the seventeen workshops along the river to completely resolve the funding bottleneck for building the production line. Thus, the Chu family, adhering to the lifelong principle of achieving profit through righteousness, embarked on a vigorous journey to open new businesses, explore new paths for national industries, and realize the goal of enriching the people and saving the country.

Ultimately, under the strategic planning of Director Jin, the opponent of the Sakura Society, the plans of the Sakura Society failed, yet they still lurked in the deeply troubled Chinese land. In the twentieth year of the Republic of China, amid the national indignation following the "September 18th Incident," the Zhenjiang Hengchang Brewing Co., Ltd. was born. Chu Qingping decisively donated all the proceeds from selling the seventeen workshops along the river to the anti-Japanese troops in Northeast China. On this day, the enthusiasm within and outside the Hengchang workshop surged, and the slogans "Return my Northeast Three Provinces, Return my homeland" echoed for a long time over the riverbank...
