Synopsis of the Korean drama PASTA:
This is Kong Hyo-jin's return to television after a two-year absence since her role in the 2007 drama "Thank You," generating much anticipation for the series. As the follow-up drama to "Queen Seondeok," "Pasta" premiered on January 4th of the following year. Set against the backdrop of an Italian restaurant, it tells the inspiring success story of a female chef who wants to bring happiness to her guests through food. Focusing on Seo Yoo-jung (Kong Hyo-jun), an assistant head chef at the Italian restaurant, the drama realistically portrays events happening in the dining area and the intense kitchen environment which resembles a battlefield. The main stage of "Pasta" is not the dining area but the kitchen, centered around the head chef Choi Hyeon-wook (Lee Sun-kyun) and the sous chef Kim Seok-ho (Lee Hyung-chul). It depicts the process of cooking by these handsome chefs to present a previously unseen real image of the kitchen.
