2010 Comedy Film "Yue Guang Bao He" DVD High Definition Version
The film tells the story of a fool holding a box traveling from modern times back to the era of Chi Bi. Lau Chun-wai extracted concepts from "A Chinese Odyssey" and rewrote the story; the new film "Yue Guang Bao He" may once again use his "unique martial arts" for a "time-travel" style narrative. From the existing list, several of the original main actors such as "Zi Xia" Fiona Choi, "Tie Shan Princess" Ada Choi, and "Blind Man" John Chiang have reunited in "Yue Guang Bao He", showing that director Lau Chun-wai wants to give the audience another taste of "Big Talk". Since the film's title differs from "A Chinese Odyssey" by only one character, it raises suspicions about their "ambiguous" relationship. However, lead actor Nicholas Tse denies any similarity between himself and the "Chun Tin Bao" played by Stephen Chow previously. Why did Lau Chun-wai choose the name "Yue Guang Bao He"? He said that "yue" means "time travel", and it is a completely different story from "Moonlight Box", "yue" means crossing over, and this story is entirely different from "Moonlight Box".
Although it is not a sequel to "A Chinese Odyssey", the story of this film actually comes from two treasures of Zi Xia Immortal: the Purple and Blue Sword and the Moonlight Box. Fiona Choi reprises her role as Zi Xia Immortal, but she is merely a supporting character. The female lead of this film is Sun Li as Rose Immortal. Rose Immortal, admiring the love between Zi Xia and Chun Tin Bao, steals the Purple and Blue Sword, hoping to seek out that destined love. She helps the male protagonist, bandit Qing Yi Se (Nicholas Tse), obtain the Moonlight Box, leading to a crazy time-travel story. It can be said that these two celestial beauties tie together the story of "Yue Guang Bao He", but under the direction of the playful Lau Chun-wai, one becomes a flower-obsessed character, while the other becomes the "Celestial Sister-in-law Xiang Lin", making them a pair of "Neurotic Fairies".
When the encounter and final farewell between Zi Xia and Chun Tin Bao became an immortal legend in the human world, and when the enlightenment of Monkey King became a regretful myth in the mortal world, that sincere love which was not cherished enough was repeatedly revisited.
This time, the mountain thief Qing Yi Se draws out the sword that carries sweet memories and divine wounds, while the rash sister fairy Rose, who believes in love, steals the Purple and Blue Sword from the legends and descends to the mortal world like a moth drawn to fire, diving into this familiar love story.
The predestined fate given by heaven is undoubtedly the greatest, but it is too sudden and unexpected. Being relentlessly pursued by Rose Immortal, Qing Yi Se just wants to escape this "rotten peach blossom". One seeks to break free, the other chases after without letting go, and the Moonlight Box opens a door to another space-time at the wrong moment...
Qing Yi Se and Rose thus begin their wondrous journey through time and space, finding themselves back on the journey to obtain scriptures, the battlefield of the Three Kingdoms, deep bamboo groves, or even within cyberspace... Many classic movie scenes, original settings, and original casts will appear one by one.
Just like the young and naive Chun Tin Bao, they only realize the depth of their feelings when their fates are about to part; similarly, like Zi Xia of old, her innocence and persistence in love always end up being betrayed...
