Synopsis of "Sword":

Wu Kefeng's fellow townsman Ji Shaokang had a romantic relationship with the maid Wang Hanmei in their hometown, resulting in her giving birth to a son. Ji's father arranged for Wang Hanmei to be forcibly married to his fellow townsman Wu Kefeng. Wu's parents were open-minded and willing to accommodate, but Wu Kefeng felt conflicted due to Wang Hanmei's past relationship with Ji Shaokang and his unclear political stance. Coinciding with the fall of the country, Wu Kefeng bid farewell to his hometown with great pain and resolutely embarked on the path of resistance, no longer involving himself in family matters.
