Introduction to the plot of the Korean drama PASTA:
This is Gong Hyo-jin's return to television after a two-year absence following her role in the 2007 drama "Thank You," creating much anticipation for the series. As the follow-up to "Queen Seondeok," "Pasta" premiered on January 4th of the next year and is set against the backdrop of an Italian restaurant. It tells the inspiring success story of a female chef who wants to bring happiness to her guests through food. Focusing on Seo Yoo-jung (Gong Hyo-jin), an assistant head chef at the Italian restaurant, the drama realistically portrays the events happening in the dining area as well as the tense kitchen environment akin to a battlefield. The main stage of "Pasta" is not the front hall but the kitchen, where it revolves around the head chef Choi Hyun-wook (Lee Sun-kyun) and the sous-chef Kim Seok-ho (Lee Hyeong-cheol). The drama depicts the process of handsome chefs cooking meals, showcasing a previously unseen true-to-life representation of a kitchen to add excitement.
