Plot Summary:

In an effort to save White Snake, Green Snake (Xiaoqing) dares to venture into Heaven, unexpectedly stealing the Jade Vase but is pursued by heavenly forces. Meanwhile, on Earth, Bao Ren, prophesied by Taoist monk Xiahou Zhe as a calamity-bringing star, is finally born. Just as Bao Ren is about to be killed by his own father, the Jade Vase with Xiaoqing rescues him, after which Xiaoqing falls into the Dragon Well to evade pursuit.

Eighteen years later, Xiahou Zhe's prophecy comes true; Hangzhou City suffers from severe drought, leaving its citizens in dire straits. Bao Ren, who grew up bearing the stigma of being a calamity, sets out to explore the Dragon Well mountain at night to help the people. In the Bao family home, the portrait of Shuangshuang reappears after eighteen years, and the Jade Vase, sensing this, leaps out from the Dragon Well, unexpectedly encountering Bao Ren. With the help of the Jade Vase, Bao Ren finally sees the recurring dream he has had - it turns out to be the water source of Dragon Well Mountain, known as Dragon Pool.

With the appearance of the Jade Vase, various celestial and earthly figures, including the Great Dragon Lady and Xiahou Zhe, also gather in Hangzhou City.

Governor Chen and his son Chen Nanba conspire with the ten major tea merchants of Zhejiang to exclude Bao Ren from the upcoming "Tea Tasting Conference." In order to save Xiaoqing, Bao Ren falls into their trap and jumps into the Dragon Pool with Xiaoqing. As a result, Bao Ren loses his qualification to participate in the Tea Tasting Conference and is expelled from his home, moving to a tea plantation on Dragon Well Mountain.

After obtaining the Jade Vase, Xiaoqing faces pursuit from the Great Dragon Lady. Bao Ren saves the injured Xiaoqing and brings her home. Gradually, Xiaoqing develops feelings for Bao Ren but, remembering her sister's fate, resists her emotions and leaves without saying goodbye. Bao Ren's nanny falls seriously ill, and upon receiving enlightenment, Bao Ren uses the first pot of tea to save her life. However, no suitable tea pickers can be found.

Drunk, Ji Gong inadvertently reveals divine secrets, informing Xiaoqing of Bao Ren's identity. Xiaoqing returns to the tea plantation to help Bao Ren pick tea. Due to suspicion about Bao Ren's identity, the Great Dragon Lady tracks them down to the plantation, leading to an impending fierce battle. Bao Ren and Xiaoqing protect each other, willing to sacrifice themselves for the other. Bao Ren is poisoned by dragon venom and is in critical condition. Xiaoqing heals Bao Ren, and the two lovers finally come together.

Incognito, the Emperor tastes Bao Ren's tea and designates it as tribute tea, canceling the Tea Tasting Conference and foiling the conspiracy of the Chen family. On her deathbed, the nanny entrusts her daughter to Bao Ren, forcing him to agree to marry Nuan Nuan. Heartbroken, Xiaoqing departs.

To harm Bao Ren, Xiahou Zhe collaborates with the Jin people, giving Bao Ren an impossible task. With no time to explain to Xiaoqing, Bao Ren leaves the Jade Vase with her and hastily boards a ship to carry tea to the capital city.

Xiaoqing uses the Jade Vase to fetch water to save Bai Suzhen but causes Bao Ren's ship to run aground, preventing him from reaching the capital. Helpless, Bao Ren follows Xiahou Zhe's plan to substitute another type of tea.

The Great Dragon Lady learns that Bao Ren is actually her husband's killer, Nezha, and spares no effort to hunt him down, resulting in the deaths of the nanny and Nuan Nuan. A fierce battle unfolds on the canal between the Great Dragon Lady and Xiaoqing over Bao Ren, leaving all three severely injured.

Bao Ren finally discovers his true identity and retrieves the Hoop of Heaven and Earth. At this moment, however, Bao Yan Cheng falls into Xiahou Zhe's trap and is sentenced to death by the Emperor. Rushing to the capital city to save his father, Bao Ren witnesses the execution of the entire Bao family and personally kills Xiahou Zhe.

Returning to Hangzhou City, Bao Ren falls into the Great Dragon Lady's trap, mistakenly believing Xiaoqing to be the murderer of the nanny and others. The two engage in a heart-wrenching duel in the Forgetful Valley, destroying the Jade Vase and placing Hangzhou City in imminent peril. To save the citizens of Hangzhou, Bao Ren jumps into the Forgetful Valley, only to find himself transported back eight hundred years to Qiantang.

There, Bao Ren meets the woman from the painting, Shuangshuang, and her rival, Qian Qingqing. Determined to find the Jade Vase to rescue everyone, the three gradually become friends. During their quest for the Jade Vase, complex emotions arise among them, and they offend the ruthless Upper River Inspector Meng Lang.

Unexpectedly, the Jade Vase turns out to be Shuangshuang's personal item. To help Bao Ren, Shuangshuang nearly loses her life. Betrayed by Meng Lang, Bao Ren is imprisoned. To save him, both women make the ultimate sacrifice, exchanging themselves with Meng Lang. Finally, Bao Ren returns to Hangzhou with the Jade Vase, saving the people, while Xiaoqing, unable to save her sister, commits suicide in despair and is taken away by Guanyin. Determined to save Xiaoqing, Bao Ren gives up returning to Heaven and instead goes back to change the fate of Xiaoqing's previous life - Qian Qingqing.

Unbeknownst to Bao Ren, because of his arrival and choices, Qingqing ultimately commits murder and vows never to reincarnate as a human again.

For the sake of love, Bao Ren, Shuangshuang, and Qingqing sacrifice their lives, entering the cycle of rebirth and beginning their next-life entanglements...
