Plot Summary:
Three female television stars from different backgrounds chase fame and profit, seeking the eternal myth of beauty, at a cost that is difficult to redeem; after weathering storms and numerous challenges in their acting careers, they finally realize the only way to create true beauty. Qingwen Gao (Flora Xu), driven by vanity, disregards the opposition of her retired actress mother Zhang Lihong (Yuan Qiongdan) and participates in a TV station's beauty pageant, winning the championship and rising to fame overnight. Tang Ke'er (Janice Chan), the new junior sister at the station, feels threatened by her position and jumps ship to a rival station to become the top star. Her good friend and assistant director, Cheung Dick Hin (Lorant Yeung), repeatedly advises her but to no avail. On the other side, Jiang Zhanfeng (Emily Ng), the top star of the station who had past conflicts with Lihong, seeing Qingwen's rising popularity, intentionally teaches her acting skills to win her favor and lure her into decadence. Unfortunately, Zhanfeng, in her quest for eternal beauty, overdoses on banned beauty injections, causing her appearance to deform.
