Synopsis of Witches of East End Season 1 Episode 10:

In the comedy TV series "Witches of East End" Season 1 (Chinese subtitles), we see the following:

Plot Summary:

What if one housewife could accomplish extraordinary feats? Then what about three? Be careful what you wish for... In the seaside town of East End, there is mounting evidence that witches are about to be born. Before today, Roxanne (played by Rebecca Romijn), Kat (played by Jaime Ray Newman) and Joanna (played by Lindsay Price) didn't know each other, their lives having no intersection (this differs from the movie version). Roxanne is an eccentric artist who owns her own art shop, dating a much younger man (Matt Dallas), and has a daughter who thinks she's the smartest person in the world; Kat is a submissive housewife with five children, whose relationship with her husband Raymond has been strained for a long time; and Joanna is a somewhat conservative and introverted journalist working at a local newspaper.

A mysterious force brings the three women together unexpectedly in the central park of the town, and under the influence of a few Margaritas, they quickly become close friends who can talk about anything. Soon, a mysterious person arrives in town. He will try to bring the three even closer and test them in ways they couldn't imagine.

Daryl Van Horne (played by Paul Gross), wealthy, handsome, elegant, charming, occasionally displaying the sexual allure characteristic of bad boys, pretends to be in town for business purposes, trying to seduce our three female protagonists. More dangerously, he awakens their inherent supernatural powers, transforming them into full-fledged witches. As he ignites their inner passions, he may have also opened Pandora's box... When they discover their "potential," chaos begins to unfold in the town. While some residents may be affected, for East End, this could be the most magical thing that's happened in centuries.

The show is co-created by David Nutter, producer and director of "The X-Files," and Maggie Friedman, writer of "Once and Again." It is a work reminiscent of "Desperate Housewives" but inspired by "Charmed." On the surface, it tells stories of witches and fantasy, but in reality, it explores the inner world of mature women. The origin of this work is a best-selling novel written by author John Updike many years ago, which was adapted into a popular film in the '90s. On tv.com's list of the top sci-fi TV shows, "Charmed" has consistently ranked at the top, showing how much audiences love similar works. We don't yet know if "Witches of East End" can reach the same heights, but let's wait and see.

There is a little anecdote worth mentioning: David Nutter, the producer and director of this show, holds a record in Hollywood - all pilot episodes he directed in recent years have successfully developed into regular TV series without exception, as if aided by divine intervention. Among the 14 projects he directed, including "The Mentalist," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," "Traveller," and "Supernatural," are familiar titles to us. This year, since "Witches of East End" has been officially ordered, his unbroken streak continues.
