Plot Introduction:

This is a story about people around the world who discover they have extraordinary superpowers and attempt to use these powers to change their lives.

The producer of "Heroes," Brian Fuller, stated that the season finale of Season 3 will set the tone for the stories in Season 4. "We spent a lot of time discussing with the writers how Season 4 should develop. Basically, the last episode of this season, which is Episode 25, is very similar to previous finales, meaning it will open a new chapter for 'Heroes.'"

The main characters are defined as follows:

An Indian genetics professor who travels to New York after his father goes missing and begins to explore a mysterious theory - that some ordinary people may possess superpowers.

A dreamer who tries to convince his politician brother that he can fly.

A high school cheerleader who discovers she is impervious to injury.

A Las Vegas stripper struggling to support her son who finds out she can alter mirror images.

A prisoner who wakes up mysteriously outside the prison walls.

A talented painter whose life and relationship with his girlfriend were destroyed by drugs but discovers he can depict future events.

A policeman in Los Angeles who relies on luck to solve cases but actually possesses mind-reading abilities.

In Japan, a young man who can stop time purely through mental force.

When the shadow of an eclipse falls on Earth, an Indian genetics professor uncovers a shocking secret due to his father's mysterious disappearance: superpowers are hidden within many ordinary people. A 30-year-old dreamer named Peter Petrelli tries to prove to his older brother, a novelist, that he can fly; 17-year-old high school cheerleader Claire Bennet discovers she is completely immune to physical harm; 33-year-old Las Vegas stripper Niki Sanders, striving to support her son, finds out she can alter mirror images; 31-year-old D.L. Hawkins tricks the prison authorities twice because he has the ability to pass through walls; 28-year-old artist Diego Medina, an addict whose addiction has ruined his life and love, can paint visions of the future when he's high; Los Angeles patrol officer Matt Parkman, who possesses the superpower of hearing people's thoughts, is assigned to chase a cunning serial killer; 24-year-old Japanese comic book fan Hiro Nakamura can freeze time by making a wish.

Where do these superpowers come from? What does it mean for these superhero characters? When enemies appear who want to exploit their superpowers for their own sinister purposes, these superheroes instinctively gather together to fight against their common enemy and also to save the entire world.

"Heroes" is the latest sci-fi TV series launched by NBC in September 2006. "Heroes" focuses on various humans with special abilities from around the world and unfolds its story centered on them. Initially, the protagonists of "Heroes" lived ordinary lives like everyone else, but they gradually discovered they possessed certain traits.

"The ambitious" "Heroes" continues to recruit talent for Season 4. Ray Park ("The Phantom Menace," "X-Men") will play a super-powered "knife thrower"; Deanne Bray ("The L Word") will play a super-powered deaf woman; Robert Knepper ("Prison Break") will play a super-powered villain appearing in at least six episodes. As previously reported, Madeline Zima ("Californication") will play Claire's college roommate, who also possesses superpowers.

Meanwhile, rumors persist that the show's key figure Bryan Fuller might leave the production team to work on another NBC series (possibly "Day One" or "Caprica"). If the rumors are true, "Heroes" will lose its last hope. Currently, Bryan Fuller serves as a "producer consultant" for "Heroes."

Executive producer Tim Kring revealed basic details about Season 4. He said one of the themes of Season 4 is the discussion of how superhumans "should live" - whether they should keep a low profile and live quietly or publicly reveal their superpowers and live honestly.

Tim Kring said that the storyline of Season 4 will focus on Claire. Claire attends university in Washington, her parents are living separately, and she must deal with "mysterious suicides" on campus (is it a Veronica Mars-style plot?). The "roommate" played by Madeline Zima is undoubtedly crucial in this storyline.

Tim Kring said that Peter Petrelli will distance himself from family and friends, becoming a "lone ranger" who saves others, much like Batman in "The Dark Knight." Peter will meet a new "love interest" this season, a powerful woman who will change his life and destiny.

Sylar will eventually "shed" Nathan Petrelli's "skin"; Matt Parkman's conflicts with Sylar prevent him from leading a normal life with his wife and children. Angela Petrelli and HRG may establish a new "Company," but it won't be as radical as the previous one. And Hiro may significantly reduce the number of time travels in Season 4 (or even stop using it altogether).
