Summary:

This is a story about people around the world who discover they have extraordinary superpowers and try to use these powers to change their lives.

The producer of Heroes, Brian Fuller, said that the season finale of the third season will set the tone for the story in the fourth season. "We spent a lot of time discussing with the writers how the fourth season should develop. Basically, the last episode of this season, which is episode 25, is very similar to previous finales, meaning it will open a new chapter for Heroes."

The main characters are defined as follows:

An Indian genetics professor who arrives in New York after his father goes missing and begins to explore a mysterious theory - some ordinary people may possess superpowers.

A dreamer who tries to convince his politician brother that he can fly.

A high school cheerleader who discovers she is invulnerable.

A Las Vegas stripper who finds out she can teleport and travel between two different locations instantly.

A prisoner wakes up and mysteriously finds himself outside the walls.

A talented painter whose life and relationship with his girlfriend were destroyed by drugs, but he discovers he can paint visions of the future.

A policeman who seems to rely on luck to solve cases actually has the power to read minds.

In Japan, a young man can stop time purely through mental force.

When the shadow of an eclipse falls on Earth, an Indian genetics professor discovers a shocking secret due to his father's mysterious disappearance: superpowers are hidden within many ordinary people. A young dreamer, Peter Petrelli at the age of 30, tries to prove to his older brother, who is a novelist, that he can fly; 17-year-old high school cheerleader Claire Bennet discovers she cannot be harmed by any physical means; 33-year-old Las Vegas stripper Niki Sanders struggles to support her son and finds she can alter her reflection in the mirror; 31-year-old D.L. Hawkins fools prison authorities twice because he has the ability to pass through walls; 28-year-old artist Diego Medina, who is a drug addict and whose addiction has ruined his life and love, but when he gets high, he can depict future scenes through his brush; Los Angeles patrolman Matt Parkman, who possesses the superpower to hear people's thoughts and is sent to hunt down a cunning serial killer; 24-year-old Japanese comic book fan Hiro Nakamura can make time stand still by wishing.

Where do these superpowers come from? What does it mean for this group of super-powered heroes? When enemies who seek to exploit their superpowers for their own sinister purposes appear, these super-powered heroes instinctively gather together to fight against their common enemy and also to save the entire world.

"Heroes" is NBC's latest sci-fi TV series that premiered in September 2006. Heroes focuses on various individuals with special abilities from around the world and develops the entire story around them. Initially, the protagonists of Heroes lived ordinary lives like everyone else, but they gradually discover they possess certain unique traits.

"The ambitious" Heroes continues to recruit for its fourth season. Ray Park ("The Phantom Menace," "X-Men") will play a 'knife-thrower' with superpowers; Deanne Bray ("The L Word") will portray a deaf woman with superpowers; Robert Knepper ("Prison Break") will play a villainous character with superpowers, appearing in at least six episodes. As previously reported, Madeline Zima ("Californication") will play Claire's college roommate, who also possesses superpowers.

Meanwhile, there have been persistent rumors that the show's key figure Bryan Fuller might leave the production team to work on another NBC series (possibly "Day One" or "Caprica"). If the rumors are true, Heroes would lose its last hope. Currently, Bryan Fuller serves as the "producer consultant" for Heroes.

Executive producer Tim Kring revealed basic details about the fourth season. He said one of the themes of the fourth season is the discussion of how superhumans "should live" - should they keep a low profile and lead normal lives, or should they reveal their superpowers to the world and live honestly?

Tim Kring said that the storyline of the fourth season will revolve around Claire. Claire attends university in Washington, her parents are living apart, and she has to deal with "mysterious suicides" happening on campus (is it going to follow the "Veronica Mars" route?). The "roommate" played by Madeline Zima undoubtedly plays a crucial role in this plot.

Tim Kring said that Peter Petrelli will distance himself from his family and friends, becoming a "lone ranger" who saves others, much like Batman in "The Dark Knight." Peter will meet a new "love interest" this season, and this powerful woman will change his life and destiny.

Sylar will eventually "break free" from Nathan Petrelli's "skin"; Matt Parkman's grudges with Sylar prevent him from leading a normal life with his wife and children. Angela Petrelli and HRG may establish a new "Company," but it won't be as radical as the previous one. And Hiro may significantly reduce the number of time travels in the fourth season (or even stop using it altogether).
