Synopsis:

This is a story about people around the world who discover they possess extraordinary superpowers and attempt to use them to change their lives.

"Heros" producer Brian Fuller stated that the season finale of Season 3 will set the tone for the stories in Season 4. "We spent a lot of time discussing with the writers how the plot of Season 4 should develop. Basically, the last episode of this season, which is the 25th episode, is similar to previous finales, opening a new chapter for 'Heroes'."

The main characters are defined as follows:

An Indian genetics professor who arrives in New York after his father goes missing and begins to explore a mysterious theory — that some ordinary people may have superpowers.

A dreamer who tries to convince his politician brother that he can fly.

A high school cheerleader who discovers she is invulnerable to weapons.

A Las Vegas stripper struggling to support her son who finds she can alter her reflection in the mirror.

A prisoner wakes up to find himself mysteriously outside the walls.

A gifted painter whose life and relationship with his girlfriend were ruined by drugs but discovers he can depict future events.

A police detective in Los Angeles who seemingly relies on luck to solve cases but actually has mind-reading powers is assigned to track down a cunning serial killer.

In Japan, a young man can stop time purely through mental force.

When the shadow of an eclipse falls on Earth, an Indian geneticist discovers a shocking secret due to his father's strange disappearance: superpowers actually lie hidden within many ordinary people. A 30-year-old dreamer, Peter Petrelli, attempts to prove to his novelist brother that he can fly; a 17-year-old high school cheerleader, Claire Bennet, discovers she is completely immune to physical harm; a 33-year-old Las Vegas stripper, Niki Sanders, struggling to support her son, finds she can change her reflection in the mirror; a 31-year-old D.L. Hawkins fools prison authorities twice because he can pass through walls; a 28-year-old artist, Diego Medina, an addict whose drug addiction destroyed his life and love, but when he gets high, he can paint scenes of the future; a Los Angeles patrolman, Matt Parkman, uses his ability to hear people's thoughts to chase a cunning serial killer; a 24-year-old Japanese comic book fan, Hiro Nakamura, can freeze time through wishes.

Where do these superpowers come from? What does it mean for these superhero characters? When enemies appear who try to use their superpowers for their own sinister purposes, these superheroes instinctively gather together to fight against a common enemy while also trying to save the entire world.

"Heroes" is the latest sci-fi TV series launched by NBC in September 2006. "Heroes" focuses on various individuals around the world with special abilities and builds its story around them. Initially, the protagonists of "Heroes" lived ordinary lives like everyone else, but they gradually realize they have certain traits.

"The ambitious" "Heroes" continues to recruit for its fourth season. Ray Park ("The Phantom Menace," "X-Men") will play a "knife thrower" with superpowers; Deanne Bray ("The L Word") will play a deaf woman with superpowers; Robert Knepper ("Prison Break") will play a villainous character with superpowers, appearing in at least six episodes. As previously reported, Madeline Zima ("Californication") will play Claire's college roommate, who also has superpowers.

Meanwhile, rumors have been circulating that the show's key figure Bryan Fuller might leave the production team to work on a new NBC series (possibly "Day One" or "Caprica"). If the rumors are true, "Heroes" will lose its last hope. Currently, Bryan Fuller serves as a "production consultant" for "Heroes."

Executive Producer Tim Kring revealed the basic situation of Season 4. He said one of the themes of Season 4 would be discussing how superhumans "should live" — whether they should keep their powers hidden and live quietly, or reveal their powers openly and live honestly.

Tim Kring said the storyline of Season 4 would center around Claire. Claire attends university in Washington, where her parents are separated, and she deals with "mysterious suicides" on campus. The "roommate" played by Madeline Zima undoubtedly plays a crucial role in this plot.

Tim Kring said Peter Petrelli would distance himself from family and friends, becoming a "lone ranger" saving others, much like Batman in "The Dark Knight." Peter will meet a new "love interest" in this season, a powerful woman who will change his life and destiny.

Sylar will eventually "shed" Nathan Petrelli's "skin"; Matt Parkman's grudge against Sylar prevents him from living a normal life with his wife and children. Angela Petrelli and HRG may found a new "Company," but it won't be as radical as the previous one. And Hiro may significantly reduce the number of time travels in Season 4 (or even stop using it altogether).
