Plot Summary:
During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, it rained continuously for two years in the Bamboo Forest of Sorrows village, and the villagers were suffering greatly. Forty years ago, two bandits, Xue Shisan and Chen Liu, accumulated a large amount of treasure during a robbery. After burying the treasure, they passed through the Bamboo Forest of Sorrows village and saved a young girl named Luo Niang by killing several soldiers. Afraid of trouble, the villagers captured the two bandits, but they escaped during the night. However, the villagers used traps to capture them again and handed them over to the official army. Unexpectedly, a female butcher named Ying Ge helped them escape once more, and they went on a killing spree. They stayed in the village, where Chen Liu raped Luo Niang but fell in love with her.
