"The Wire", a TV series produced by Beijing Zhuoyue Century Culture Communication Co., Ltd., is set against the backdrop of the Anti-Japanese War and depicts the growth journey of a group of revolutionary soldiers represented by Jiang Chongyi, Wang Zhi, and Lin Fengtian, from the puppet army company to the Nationalist Party's "cannon fodder company" and then to the Eighth Route Army's "heroic company".

In 1943, the North China battlefield was in a stalemate between enemies. The Royal Assistance Army's 3rd Company, where Jiang Chongyi, Wang Zhi, and Lin Fengtian were located, carried out military tasks with the Japanese army. During the battle, part of the Nationalist Party's 173th Regiment was surrounded, and the Japanese army cruelly killed all the prisoners. Faced with the tragic slaughter of their compatriots, the 3rd Company refused to be accomplices any longer and decided to rebel collectively. Jiang Chongyi rejected Lin Fengtian's suggestion of joining the Eighth Route Army, and led his brothers to join the Nationalist Party's 173th Regiment instead.
