Several years ago, the TV play Under the Sky of History created by famous writer Xu Guixiang, winner of Mao Dun Literature Prize, caused a great stir, becoming a hallmark work of military literature in the new era as well as a hard-to-surpass peak for creators of many military theme TV plays. Xu Guixiang still serves as the chief scriptwriter of The Course of History while Wu Jun, a famous producer and also the producer of Under the Sky of History, continues to cooperate with Xu Guixiang, serving as the producer of The Course of History.
