Plot Introduction for "Children of the Compound":
In a certain military district compound, a group of army children live carefree lives. These children in their blooming years naively and curiously take their first steps on their life's journey. With the blood of soldiers flowing through their veins, they are born with an ambition to save everything.
The bad boy Zhang Weiping and the good student Qiao Nianchao accidentally bump into each other while stealing books at the August 1st Club, but when they run away after being discovered, they mistakenly grab each other's bags. When Qiao Nianchao gets home and avoids the soldier’s pursuit, he is shocked upon opening the bag, finding not only the books that Zhang Weiping stole, but also a semi-automatic pistol.
The idol of the compound's children, Zhang Weiping's older brother Zhang Xiangping, comes home on leave. Due to the gun-stealing incident involving his younger brother, he meets Qiao Jianxin, Qiao Nianchao's sister, and they immediately fall in love at first sight.
