Fu Jixiang, known as Lao Da Fu, lost his parents at an early age. As the eldest son, he brought up three younger brothers and a sister, sending all of them to university in Beijing. When they became successful adults, Lao Da Fu had missed his own prime years: His marriage failed because of infertility, and after being laid off, he became a low-level foot therapist. However, he faced everything with enough optimism and still cherished his own career and life ideals - to become a masseur and a father. By a twist of fate, he met Lele, a child with autism, and they hit it off immediately. Mei Hao, Lele's mother, was abandoned by her husband and raised Lele alone, falling into困境. Lao Da Fu saved Mei Hao who attempted suicide, recognized Lele as his godson, and took Mei Hao as his apprentice to teach her foot therapy. The three of them relied on each other and lived a peaceful life in a small city in Northeast China.
