Synopsis of Nameless:
"Nameless" is an episodic drama produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It tells the story of a group of dedicated amateur detective enthusiasts - The Forgotten Alliance - who are committed to investigating murder cases involving unnamed victims. After the police give up, the team led by Alex Donovan (Christian Slater) must first identify the victim in order to catch the killer. These civilian volunteers solve bizarre crimes. Their determination and empathy lead them on a personal and emotional journey to restore names for the deceased.
The Forgotten Alliance usually gathers in cafes and living rooms, discussing clues, doubts, and intelligence. Each member showcases their own motivation and skills, with each having an inner driving force. Donovan is a former detective who left the police force after his young daughter went missing. By using his previous investigative skills, he can piece together the lives of the victims: tracing their steps and understanding their lives to find out the cause of their death. These amateur detectives must race against time to identify the victims before they are buried as unknown individuals. Their work is to restore truth and justice for the victims.
Candace Butler (Michelle Borth) is also a volunteer of The Forgotten Alliance. She is a confident and stubborn young woman who helps the alliance identify victims to avoid being overwhelmed by boring and tedious work. Lindsey Drake (Heather Stephens) is a highly adaptable high school science teacher who joined the alliance to atone for her husband's crime. Walter Bailey (Bob Stephenson), an employee of a famous telephone company, is also an enthusiastic crime investigator whose enthusiasm sometimes complicates the investigation. Tyler Davies (Anthony Carrigan) is a street-smart medical school dropout who loves art and was court-ordered to join the alliance to complete community service. And Grace Russell (Rochelle Aytes), a resourceful detective from the Chicago Police Department's Homicide Division, who was previously protected by Alex and now serves as the main intermediary between him and the police department.
