Synopsis:
Set against the backdrop of the Tang Dynasty court, the story revolves around the power struggles within the four departments responsible for preparing the Empress's attire. With the Tang Dynasty harem as its backdrop, it delves into the affairs and scheming of the women in the harem. Charmaine Sheh plays the role of palace maid Liu Sanhao, who, with her 'three goods' spirit of 'having good intentions, saying good words, and doing good deeds,' rises to prominence amidst the complex power struggles in the harem, and develops a romantic relationship with 'rumored couple' Frankie Ng that resembles the love between 'Dae Jang Geum and Min大人.'
Liu Sanhao (Charmaine Sheh) and Yao Jinling (Fiona Sit) are sworn sisters in the palace, working as little palace maids and constantly being ordered about. At the time, the harem was controlled by four departments: Tan Yanshang (Nancy Wu) in charge of food, Zhong Xuexia (Snowy Mi) responsible for embroidery, Hu Su'en (Samantha Yip) managing decorations, and Ruan Cuizhen (Kate Law) overseeing jewelry. The four vie for power and position, leading to constant conflict, with innocent Sanhao and Jinling forced to become scapegoats. Despite enduring numerous hardships, Sanhao remains steadfast in her 'three goods' spirit, whereas Jinling, after being mistreated, seeks revenge. Once, while serving Emperor Li Yi (Aaron Kwok), she secretly seduces him, eventually becoming Consort Li and engaging in power struggles with Consort Wan Baoxian (Emily Li). Meanwhile, Sanhao, with her clever hands and quick wit, becomes a Chief Palace Maid. When both Sanhao and Jinling gain influence, their sisterly bond fractures as both harbor feelings for palace guard Gao Xianyang (Frankie Ng). Jinling seeks to punish the four departments, but Sanhao repays them with kindness and protects all four. Jinling uses this to persecute Sanhao...
