TBS Television reports that Arisa Mizuki will once again star in a new drama of the station after 12 years, playing out a romance with Teppei Kobayashi. The new drama will premiere on October 16th and is tentatively named "Single Love Song". Mizuki will play an accomplished single teacher at a prestigious all-girls school. On the other hand, Teppei Kobayashi will portray her colleague who is 10 years younger than her, as they fall in love and start living together.
This drama humorously portrays this "age-gap romance". It was created by Masaya Ozaki, who has written scripts for dramas like "The Devil Bride Diary" and "Men Who Can't Marry". A key highlight of the drama is how these two characters, who differ by 10 years in age, can overcome differences in values, thoughts, positions, and income to maintain their relationship.
Mizuki plays Akiko Satomi, who excels professionally and can accomplish anything at work. However, in her private life, she is completely inept at housework. Her home is always in disarray, and she never cooks, opting either to eat out or consume bentos. Mizuki hopes to portray the lifestyle and thoughts of modern women in their thirties through this role. She expressed, "I hope more women can relate." Producer Atsushi Masaki from TBS Television looked forward to the project, saying, "Mizuki is an actress that all women admire, and we believe her comedic performance will be outstanding." Additionally, Nao Matsushita, Ami Suzuki, and others will also appear in the series.
