Night Song at Midnight
Northeast China, icy and snowy, a land of purity. Two young and vibrant female students, Tong Ruofan and Yu Ge, in their late teens, at the age when innocence and charm bloom, have graduated and come to Northeast China for a graduation trip with classmates. They get separated, lose their way in the snowy forest, but being young and inexperienced, they are immersed in the sounds of nature in the sea of forest and snow. A gunshot! Two strange men appear, one half-man half-beast like "hunter", the other a richly dressed young master. One is Song Danping, around twenty-one or two years old, already a renowned musical drama actor at that time; the other is Chen Tianyi, about the same age as Song Danping, from the southern city of Paradise, who has come to this pure world to relax and escape from an arranged marriage at home.
