Wealth Gate Episode 03 (Mandarin Version) Plot:

TVB's October anniversary drama series "Wealth Gate" in full episodes, also known as "Money Temptation."

Plot Summary:

"Wealth Gate" is centered around a prominent family in the banking industry, with events beginning when a conman infiltrates the family and becomes the second son. In the business world, the second son engages in fierce competition with the eldest son. Outside of business, both sons face their own romantic dilemmas: the eldest son marries into a prestigious family but has an extramarital affair with his true love, a lawyer; the second son harbors deep feelings for his non-blood-related younger sister, creating an ethically challenging situation where their love cannot be fulfilled. Can the eldest son and his half-brother, who appears to be so on the surface, only remain adversaries? Within this family, the second son experiences the warmth of familial bonds but, as a conman, he must choose between personal gain and family ties. Will he be moved by familial affection or succumb to greed, leading him down a path of no return? Family is innocent, but money tempts sin!

Banker Tak Yat-Yuen (Louis Koo) mistakenly identifies conman Sa Fu-Lai (Aaron Lui) as his half-brother Tak Yat-Ming and helps him rise to prominence in the banking sector. Under the guise of family affection, Yat-Yuen fails to see Fu-Lai's ulterior motives, resulting in nurturing a dangerous threat.

Yat-Yuen encounters a riot abroad and is kidnapped. This traumatic experience drastically changes his personality. Despite repeated attempts by his loving wife Ho Cheuk-Nin (Miki Tsui) to counsel him, he remains unable to overcome the shadow of shame and instead turns to his old lover Dong Ling-Zi (Gigi Leung) for comfort. Years of marital affection are shattered in an instant.

After entering the Cho family, Fu-Lai initially savors the warmth of family bonds and discovers that his beloved is none other than his supposed half-sister Cho Yat-Sam (Maggie Cheung). However, constrained by moral boundaries, Yat-Sam suppresses her true feelings for Fu-Lai and instead chooses her admirer Kong To-Pak (Marco Ngai). Unwilling to lose his love yet unwilling to forsake wealth, Fu-Lai hesitates between emotion and money, ultimately choosing the path of riches, stepping into the decadent gates of wealth.

A series of intense financial battles among passionate men, heart-wrenching romantic entanglements, and severe ethical challenges lie ahead, like arrows on the string ready to be released.
