Husband Ma Bingkun and wife Lin Zihua depend on each other to survive, living in the Towe Forest of Heilongjiang. When Ma Bingkun was found out to be in the late stages of cancer, he decided to entrust his wife to one of their five children to take care of her until she passes. Unexpectedly, all the children live far away and make excuses to evade the responsibility of taking care of their mother. The couple then decides to personally visit each of their children's homes. Despite their own illnesses, the parents begin to do what they can to help resolve each of their children's problems. In the end, the parent's selfless love moves the children and at the Spring Festival, the couple reunites with all their children in Xian where they decide to live with their eldest son and welcome a new future together.
