Synopsis of "Two Wives":
"Two Wives" tells the story of a man who suffers from amnesia due to a traffic accident and the series of events that unfold between his ex-wife and his current fiancée.
Soo Ae plays the role of Han Ji-sook, a single mother who independently runs a high-end wine shop and a flower shop. With a personality that balances calmness and passion, Ji-sook fell in love with her boyfriend during her studies in the U.S. and had a child, but she returned to Korea alone without marrying him. Despite her family's efforts to introduce her to many men, these men all demanded a high divorce settlement if they were to marry her. Having lost faith in men and decided to live alone, Ji-sook meets Kang Jae-su (Kim Ho-jun) and falls for this romantic writer who shows no concern for money. Jae-su, a struggling writer without a notable masterpiece, earns a living by working part-time as a university lecturer and writing essays. His wife, Yoon Young-hee, holds the financial reins of their household. After ten years of marriage, feeling that his wife only cares about money, Jae-su grows distant from her. Participating in an internet "husband lending" activity for research material for his novel, Jae-su meets Ji-sook and develops feelings for her. After divorcing his wife, Jae-su begins a new romance with Ji-sook and they plan to get married. However, before the wedding, Jae-su is involved in a traffic accident, sustaining serious injuries and falling into a coma for a month. Upon awakening, Jae-su suffers from amnesia, remembering only his ex-wife Yoon Young-hee (Kim Ji-young) and forgetting his current girlfriend Han Ji-sook. The sudden car accident throws the three into an awkward and complex situation. Yoon Young-hee's immature younger brother Yoon Nam-jun (Andy), a seemingly well-off but trouble-prone loafer, embarks on a relationship with Zhao Mei-mei played by Lee Yu-jung.
