Continuing from the previous series, DIE under Lang's leadership solves many strange cases and eventually gets "honorably dissolved". Except for Crystal who is on maternity leave and Fee Sir who retires back to his hometown in Scotland, all others return to their previous workplaces. However, their quirky personalities and styles remain unchanged, continuing to cause headaches for their superiors and being excluded at work!
During a large official event, the former members of DIE gather on-site for different reasons to carry out tasks. Crystal, passing by with her baby, catches her old enemy Big Mouth Ying committing illegal activities due to habit, mistakenly intruding into a restricted area. This causes a chain reaction, leading to everyone making a mess and embarrassing the top cop... The top cop blames them, prompting an emergency meeting among the police high-ups. Luo Youheng, Lang's immediate superior, proposes reassembling DIE to get rid of these troublesome subordinates again. These troublemakers are gathered together once more to be left to their own devices. Since the original DIE supervisor Fee Sir has retired, Heng is forced to take on the responsibility of supervising DIE.
Upon hearing about the reformation of DIE, Crystal becomes very eager and asks Lang if she can end her maternity leave early and resume work. However, Lang, with his macho mindset, tricks Crystal into agreeing to take a year off to be a full-time mom and take care of the baby. Heng, in order to quickly get rid of the difficulties, continuously overworks everyone and intentionally splits up DIE, forcing Lang and Crystal to lead separate teams to compete in solving cases.
