Introduction to the plot of "Two Wives":
"Two Wives" tells the story of a man who suffers from amnesia due to a traffic accident and the series of events that occur between his ex-wife and his current fiancée.
Son Tae-young plays Han Ji-suk, a single mother who independently runs a high-end wine shop and a flower shop. Ji-suk's character lies between calmness and passion. During her studies in the U.S., she fell in love with her boyfriend and had a child, but she returned to Korea alone with the child without marrying him. Although her family introduced many men to Ji-suk, these men all demanded a substantial divorce settlement if they were to divorce in the future. Already disillusioned with men and determined to live alone, Ji-suk meets Kang Cheol-soo (Kim Ho-jun), falling in love with this romantic writer who shows no concern for money. Cheol-soo is a struggling full-time writer who earns money by working part-time as a lecturer at a university and writing essays. He has no major works, and the household finances are controlled by his wife, Yoon Young-hi. After ten years of marriage, Cheol-soo feels that his wife only cares about money, leading them to drift apart. To gather material for his novel, Cheol-soo participates in an internet “borrowed husband” activity where he meets unmarried mother Ji-suk and becomes attracted to her. After divorcing his wife, Cheol-soo begins a new romance with Ji-suk and plans to marry her. Unfortunately, before their wedding, Cheol-soo is involved in a traffic accident, suffering serious injuries. After being in a coma for a month, Cheol-soo wakes up with amnesia. The amnesiac Cheol-soo only remembers his ex-wife Yoon Young-hi (Kim Ji-young) and forgets his current girlfriend Han Ji-suk. The sudden car accident puts the three of them in an awkward and complicated situation. Yoon Young-hi's naive younger brother Yoon Nam-jun (Andy) is an idle and unemployed troublemaker who appears polished on the outside but causes nothing but problems. He will engage in a romance with Zhao Mei-mei played by Lee Yu-jeong.
