Introduction to Headball to the Earth:
"Headball to the Earth" tells the story of a poor but passionate player named Cha Bong-goon. It depicts his miraculous success in an otherwise third-rate life and conveys themes of humanitarianism.
In the drama, Cha Bong-goon is an unlucky footballer who has faced three critical moments without achieving victory. Despite this, he lives with the grand ambition of becoming a national team player. With no remarkable skills but a fervent heart for football, Cha Bong-goon (played by Jung Yun-ho) shares a romantic love story with Kang Haebin (played by Ko Ah-ra), a girl born with everything yet determined to create her dreams with her own hands.
Jung Yun-ho portrays Cha Bong-goon, a footballer with an unfortunate life who achieves three championships through sheer determination, completing the impossible task of joining the national team. Ko Ah-ra plays Kang Haebin, the daughter of a club owner, who wishes to hide her identity and become a respected football agent in a male-dominated world. She is captivated by an unknown footballer's stunning overhead kick during an industrial match and finds love growing amidst constant arguments.
Lee Yoon-ji plays Oh Yeon, the neighbor and classmate of Cha Bong-goon (Yunho), who only knows how to play football and often gets into trouble. They've been classmates since middle school, and later, Oh Yeon becomes a nutritionist for the professional football team where Cha Bong-goon plays, harboring deep feelings for him. Amidst their constant bickering, subtle emotions arise, leading to a triangular relationship involving sports coach Kang Haebin (Gao Alala) and Cha Bong-goon. Lee Yoon-ji's character, Oh Yeon, shares a friendship with Cha Bong-goon.
