Mai Ti Shuang has always had a sharp business mind and deeply understands that only through business can one achieve prosperity. He worked hard to complete his MBA at Stanford University in the US and sought opportunities there. After graduation, Ti Shuang saw potential in He Wentian's company and proactively recommended himself to Wentian, clearly stating he didn't want to be an employee but rather a partner. Even if it was just for 0.01% of the shares, he was willing. Wentian, seeing that Ti Shuang was different from others, allowed him to join as a partner. Their relationship was both mentor and friend, working seamlessly together, specializing in acquiring companies and then selling them off in parts, becoming a formidable sniper in the American business world. Later, Ti Shuang became known as the Black Knight in the business world, ruthless and merciless, gradually expanding his influence. Similarly, the differences in opinions between him and Wentian also increased. For the sake of the company's interests and development, Ti Shuang decided to fully acquire Wentian's company. Unable to bear the blow, Wentian drove drunk. Ti Shuang learned that Wentian lost control of his car and fell into the sea. After the incident, Wentian's body could not be found, but Ti Shuang firmly believed that Wentian had died, feeling extremely guilty. Is the value of a business deal really greater than friendship, life? Ti Shuang reflected on everything in the past and decided not to be the Black Knight anymore, retiring from the business world. Ti Shuang learned from the newspaper that Wentian's widow and child were living in difficult circumstances in Hong Kong. Believing the responsibility was on him, he decided to return to Hong Kong to take care of Wentian's family.
Ti Shuang returned to Hong Kong and found He Wentian's wife, Sha Mu Lian. Coincidentally, he checked into the痞子Hotel run by Tong Ji and met Tong Ji who was troubled by the hotel's operation problems. Tong Ji is a middle-aged playboy from a commercial family, infamous outside but filial to his father, surrounded by beauties. By coincidence, Ti Shuang met Lin Miaomiao in a luxury store, thus creating animosity between them. Miaomiao is a crazy shopping addict, owing a large credit card debt, forcing her to sell herself as a debt collector. With the spirit of no success, no fee, she became the top agent in the collection company. Due to Grandma Zhou Xiaoqiao being defrauded of money, Mu Lian owed Miaomiao's financial company a large debt. Miaomiao was responsible for collecting the debt, thus encountering Ti Shuang again. Ti Shuang found Mu Lian's family and took on Mu Lian's debt, making Miaomiao mistakenly believe that Ti Shuang was Mu Lian's ex-husband who abandoned his wife and children, leaving a bad impression on her. Mu Lian was unaware that her husband's death was indirectly caused by Ti Shuang and even believed that her husband Wentian was still alive. Mu Lian's grandmother would often accuse Ti Shuang of being the murderer of her son Wentian. Initially shocked when the truth was discovered by Mu Lian, later due to the grandmother being diagnosed with early-stage dementia, everyone thought the grandmother's words were nonsense and not credible.
Ti Shuang is a regular customer at Qi's Noodle Shop. Seeing Mu Lian's living difficulties, he introduced Mu Lian to work at Qi's Noodle Shop. Mu Lian grew up in the US, straightforward in nature, unable to navigate social nuances, but worked hard and passionately at Qi's Noodle Shop, injecting new vitality, earning praise from Zhongqi. Qi's Noodle Shop was threatened by a newly opened cart noodle shop nearby. Ti Shuang bestowed the term CEO upon it, and Miaomiao, to save the noodle shop, entrusted her brother Lin Musen to be the noodle shop's CEO. Musen took over the noodle shop, becoming its CEO, but only had the appearance without substance, causing chaos. Ti Shuang advised Zhongqi not to hand over the noodle shop to Musen, emphasizing not to favor relatives. Seeing Mu Lian's hard work and willingness to endure hardships, he recommended Mu Lian to take on important responsibilities to Qi and Miaomiao. However, Miaomiao did not think much of it, assuming Ti Shuang was just talking nonsense. Until Ti Shuang helped the Bertin Group acquire the old building where the noodle shop was located and convinced Sen and Qiao to sell the shop, Miaomiao did not want her father's hard work to be destroyed and decided to protect the noodle shop, replacing Musen and appointing Mu Lian as CEO. As the noodle shop CEO, Mu Lian teamed up with Miaomiao to negotiate with the Bertin Group. In the end, with Ti Shuang secretly helping, Tang Ji gained autonomy for the first time. Qi's Noodle Shop successfully overcame the crisis, achieving a win-win situation for both parties. From this point onward, Miaomiao firmly believed that Ti Shuang was a business genius and decided to learn business from him, hoping to alleviate poverty. Miaomiao kept pestering Ti Shuang, who although did not verbally agree, secretly taught Miaomiao business strategies. Unexpectedly, on her business journey, Miaomiao re-encountered her ex-boyfriend Tong Yiben.
Mu Lian, forced by work, sent Xiaoqiao to an elderly home. To comfort Xiaoqiao, Ti Shuang requested to move in himself, only to find out that the elderly home was funded by Tang Ji for his girlfriend, facing operational difficulties. While Tang Ji was having an affair at the elderly home, he met Ti Shuang and Miaomiao. Knowing Ti Shuang's strength, Tang Ji hoped Ti Shuang could help solve the elderly home's problems. Miaomiao relentlessly pursued learning business strategies from Ti Shuang, leaving him no choice but to act. After agreeing, Ti Shuang seemed indifferent, making Miaomiao feel he was taking the reform of the elderly home lightly. She decided to test him and proposed the "Plant Filial Piety, Gain Bonus" plan, which caused a big mess. Ultimately, Ti Shuang stepped in to resolve the disturbance at the elderly home and surprisingly merged it with the adjacent kindergarten, forming a new generation of intergenerational care center, solving all the problems. After this battle, the master-disciple relationship between Ti Shuang and Miaomiao greatly improved. Miaomiao realized she was gradually developing feelings for Ti Shuang, but he paid no attention to her. Miaomiao assumed Ti Shuang was a deep-feeling man with unresolved feelings for another woman. Later, she discovered that this woman was Ti Shuang's mother Qingqing. Ti Shuang transferred his emotional bond with his mother onto Miaomiao, and despite her efforts to resolve it, seeing Ti Shuang's reluctance to accept her, she decided to strengthen herself, vowing to make Ti Shuang look at her differently and thereby gain the love of her beloved man.
