Introduction to the plot of "Royal Detective Lingling Dog":
The story takes place in an ancient dynasty, where the emperor is protected by 12 royal detectives named after the zodiac signs. Among them, Gao Tian Jiǔ, played by Louis Koo, represents the zodiac sign 'Dog' and is also known as 'Lingling Dog'. Obsessed with technology, he stubbornly believes that technology will surely surpass kung fu. However, his inventions have caused more trouble than help in many operations, making him out of sync with the other detectives. Only his younger brother Lingling Tiger (played by Da Wei Tong) and his fiancée Mei Xiwang (played by Big S) support him unwaveringly. Yet, Lingling Dog remains unmoved by Mei Xiwang's deep affection for him. At this time, Grand Eunuch Cao, portrayed by Shaun Tam, harbors ambitions to kill the emperor and take his place. But first, he must eliminate the royal detectives led by Lingling Dog. Unexpectedly, Grand Eunuch Cao's conspiracy is just the tip of the iceberg. Lingling Dog will face even more powerful enemies.
