Plot Introduction:
In the early 1970s, Commander Wei Tuoqiu of the Kunlun Military District had a stable career and a happy family. His wife, Gui Hongyun, was the head of a department at the military hospital, and their daughter, Wei Jie, worked as a nurse in her mother's hospital. However, the seemingly happy and peaceful family life was disrupted by the arrival of a young girl, creating ripples in their otherwise calm lives.
This girl was named Yuan Ying. Her father, Yuan Yousheng, was an old comrade-in-arms who had shared hardships with Wei Tuoqiu in the past. In pursuit of her dream to become a soldier, she came alone to join the army under Wei Tuoqiu's patronage. The meticulous care and tender concern that the usually stern and aloof Wei Tuoqiu showed towards Yuan Ying caused suspicion and dissatisfaction among his wife and daughter. Nevertheless, despite opposition from others, Wei Tuoqiu insisted on recruiting Yuan Ying into the army. After completing basic training for new recruits, Yuan Ying was assigned to work in the department of the military hospital where Gui Hongyun was employed. Due to preconceived biases against Yuan Ying, Gui Hongyun, encouraged by her daughter Wei Jie, made things difficult for Yuan Ying. However, Yuan Ying, with what seemed to be an innate spirit of perseverance, overcame numerous challenges and grew stronger day by day.
