The TV play In That Distant Place, starring popular artists such as Li Youbin, Wu Jian and Yin Tao, was broadcast at prime time on Channel One of CCTV yesterday. In the drama, Li Youbin plays a border defense army commander, which is his third role in CCTV's prime-time slot after Sword Out and Adventuring in Northeast China. The story focuses on the family affection, friendship, battle comradeship and national feelings of two generations of soldiers in the 1960s and 1970s, against the backdrop of magnificent scenery of the snow-covered plateau. With touching stories, it portrays heroic figures of two generations of soldiers represented by Wei Tuo and Yuan Ying in the flesh, showing their noble revolutionary spirit of devoting themselves to national defense undertakings on the snowy plateau.
