Introduction to the plot:

In the early 1970s, Commander of the Kunlun military sub-region, Wei Tuo, had a stable career and a happy family. His wife, Gui Hongyun, was the director of a department in the military region hospital, and their daughter, Wei Jie, worked as a nurse in her mother's hospital. This seemingly happy and content family would soon be disrupted by the arrival of a young girl, rippling their tranquil life.

This young girl is named Yuan Ying. Her father, Yuan YouSheng, was an old comrade-in-arms who shared hardships with Wei Tuo in earlier years. To fulfill her dream of becoming a soldier, she came to the army alone to seek refuge under Wei Tuo.
