Chen Ximei (Zheng Xi Yi), a female peasant who lost her father at a young age, is forthright in character and determined to fight for the people, thus earning the love of the villagers in Liangcai County. Unfortunately, she is overly enthusiastic and rash in her actions, and mistakenly treats the newly appointed agriculture official Xie Huangshang (Marcus Ma) as a thief.
