Introduction to Part III of The Major Case Squad 3:

Three years ago, a violent gang that had a confrontation with the Major Case Squad had an escapee named Liu Zhi, who was found dead in his home. Coincidentally, Wang Xumin, the younger brother of the gang's ringleader, also appeared at the scene and became a suspect but without any substantial evidence.

The case is shrouded in mystery, so Zheng Yimin, the former head of the Major Case Squad and now promoted to Deputy Chief of the Criminal Investigation Brigade, invites Ji Jie back, who has already been transferred to the Preliminary Review Department of the Branch Bureau, to participate in the trial of the case.
