The Good Doctor Season 1

The lead character, Dr. Jack Gallagher (played by Chris Vance), is an energetic and brisk psychiatrist. Despite his young age, he has already become the director of the psychiatric treatment center at a famous hospital in Los Angeles. Similar to the limping Gregory House, Jack Gallagher has a stubborn and rebellious personality, favoring unconventional "outsider methods" for treating patients. Although his methods are often proven effective after the fact, the conservative female hospital president, Nora Skoff (played by Annabella Sciorra), does not approve of them and strongly demands that he switch to traditional methods. Despite their frequent disagreements at work, they share a history of a romantic relationship.

In each episode, Gallagher takes on a new psychiatric case. Unfamiliar patients, strange symptoms, misunderstood treatment methods, and treatment outcomes that often go off track make this show as entertaining as "House." Gallagher must use all his skills to understand the patient's history and current situation, then devise a "feasible" long-term recovery plan based on his findings.
