The manned space exploration rocket "Lion" crashes, and the story's protagonist, Kamikawa Asami's mother, Kamikawa Kyoko, is involved in the accident and dies unexpectedly. At that time, Asami was only one year old. Five years later, Asami meets the spirit of an astronaut who calls himself "Rakashore." From then on, Asami becomes interested in space and aspires to become a "rocket pilot."
