Plot Introduction for "Gunfire in Guanzhong":

At the beginning of the 20th century, although the Qing Dynasty was on the verge of collapse, the dragon flag of the Qing Dynasty still fluttered on the city tower of the Shaanxi Governor's Office (Mancheng). Sun Yat-sen's advocacy of the "Three Principles of the People" gradually became deeply rooted in people's hearts, and revolutionary winds also blew into the ranks of the new army in Shaanxi. The famous scholar Professor Ling and his daughter Ling Yun, along with progressive individuals, responded to the Tongmenghui's call for "patriotism and road protection," initiating a demonstration that was brutally suppressed by the governor's troops led by Commander Zuo Shan. Professor Ling was killed by Zuo Shan.
