"Queen Seondeok" tells the story of Princess Doman (played by Lee Yo-won in Queen Seondeok Episode 10), who was abandoned as a child due to an ominous prophecy. Through relentless efforts and power struggles within the palace, she grows to become the first queen of Silla - Queen Seondeok.
Under the situation where Mi-shil (played by Ko Hyun-jung in Queen Seondeok Episode 10) wields great power in the palace, King Jinpyeong and Lady Maya give birth to twin daughters. Princess Cheonmyeong (played by Park Yi-jin) is seen as a thorn in their side. However, for the king, giving birth to twins is highly inauspicious, indicating the omen of "the end of the royal line." Helplessly, King Jinpyeong sends away the younger daughter Doman, but Mi-shil dispatches people to secretly pursue and kill her. Unexpectedly, Ven-u and Jiso-hwa rescue Doman, disrupting her plan. Mi-shil, holding significant power, does not abandon her quest for the throne. She plots to have her husband ascend to the throne and raises Doman's twin sister's maid, Jiso-hwa. Jiso-hwa takes Doman to the desert regions of China and raises her in a small inn. Princess Doman's greatest rival, Mi-shil, uses her extraordinary beauty to gain King Jinheung's favor and thus wield power in the palace, as depicted in Queen Seondeok Episode 10.
