Synopsis of My Brother is Shunliu:

When New Fourth Army soldier Shunliu shoots at traitor General Wu, he accidentally hits his own commander, General Chen Dulei. After escaping danger, Chen Dulei, seeing Shunliu shoot a matchbox, recognizes him as a born "sharpshooter." After drinking, Chen learns that Shunliu was raised on wolf's milk and is the son of a hunter, thus addressing Shunliu as his brother. After changing his name to Chen Erlie, Shunliu lives up to expectations and earns great merit in battles against the Japanese. Erlie becomes a legendary figure and a war hero. He rides the Commander's large horse to visit his sister and the girl in his heart; for their happiness, he plans to fight more Japanese and earn more merits.

From the perspective of a wartime commander, the story tells of an ordinary soldier rapidly growing and establishing achievements amidst real warfare. Wang Baoqiang plays "Shunliu," a sniper sharpshooter who earns great merit in battles against the Japanese.
