In Episode 12 available on Youku, 20-year-old Minegishi Chisa (played by Horiaki Maki) from "My Colorful Stepson" has been living a homeless life, moving between open-air shelters in parks and internet cafes. There is a special reason why Chisa lives this way—her mother passed away due to illness when she was young, and her father Tetsuya went missing, leaving her to live a difficult life alone. One day, debt collectors come after her. It turns out that Chisa's father Tetsuya owed 100 million yen in gambling debts, and as the guarantor, Chisa is now being pursued to pay it back. From then on, Chisa runs away with the help of Kuniyoshi Toyota (played by Gono Takeshi), an influential employee at a gaming internet cafe known in the otaku community.
One day, while being chased by debt collectors and cornered, Chisa is suddenly saved by Shozo Shinzou (played by Kusakari Masao), president of Japan’s major toy manufacturer "Miracle" company. After handing over a check worth 100 million yen to the debt collectors, saving Chisa, Shinzou presents her with a contract with a repayment date and asks her to sign it. However, when he flips open the contract, it reveals a marriage certificate.
Shinzou only has one month left to live, so he wishes to have a wife who can stay by his side during his final days. This leaves Chisa with two options: either repay the 100 million yen debt or become his wife. Unable to pay the debt, Chisa reluctantly agrees to marry him.
