After a series of cryptic rumors surrounding the ratings of Mr. Brain Episode 09, it has been confirmed that Kimura Takuya's new drama, the fourth episode of *Mr. Brain*, will officially premiere on May 23rd. In the series, Kimura plays a character who, after being involved in an accident, develops extraordinary brain-processing abilities and becomes an eccentric neuroscientist dedicated to solving a string of complex cases. His assistant is portrayed by Aragaki Yui. Known for playing a variety of roles, Kimura Takuya described his character, Kurudo Ryusuke, as comedic, quirky, and with unconventional fashion sense—far from the typical suave image he usually portrays. This makes him one of the most "eccentric" characters Kimura has ever played.
Following the success of the hit series *Detective Galileo*, each episode of *Mr. Brain* will feature prominent guest stars. Notable names like actress Eiko Koike are set to appear. The first episode of Kimura Takuya's new drama *Mr. Brain* achieved the highest ratings for the spring season with a viewership of 24.8%, surpassing his previous hit drama *Change*.
In the story, Kimura plays Kurudo Ryujiro, who suffered a head injury while working as a host five years ago, leading to an extraordinary awakening of his brain's potential. As a genius scientist, he joins the Scientific Investigation Department and uses neuroscience to solve difficult cases, devoting himself to brain science research. Aragaki Yui, who previously collaborated with Kimura Takuya in *Legal Hero Special*, takes on the role of the "assistant," while Mizushima Hiro, fresh from his winter drama role as a "handsome butler," plays the detective. Each episode also invites big names from the entertainment industry to make guest appearances. In the first episode, Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo and Eiko Koike appeared; the second episode featured singer Gackt, and the third episode included Kimura Takuya's junior from the same agency, Kamenashi Kazuya.
