Mr. Brain 08 Preview Plot:
After a series of confusing rumors about the ratings, the fourth episode of Takuya Kimura's new drama Mr. Brain is set to premiere officially on May 23rd. In the show, Kimura’s character encounters an accident which enhances his brain's thinking ability, turning him into an eccentric neuroscientist who focuses on solving a series of cases. His assistant role is played by Haruka Ayase. Kimura, who has portrayed countless different types of characters, mentions that the character Ryuji Tsukumo is more comedic, with a quirky personality and outlandish clothing choices that are far from stylish—making it one of the most "strange and bizarre" roles he has ever played. It is reported that the drama will follow the successful model of the previous hit "Detective Galileo," inviting big-name stars to make guest appearances in each episode, with names like Ryoko Hirosue scheduled to appear. The first episode of Takuya Kimura's new drama "Mr. Brain" achieved the highest ratings for the spring season, with a 24.8% rating surpassing last year's monthly drama "Change." In the story, Kimura plays Ryuji Tsukumo, who suffered a head injury while working as a host five years ago. Afterward, his brain mysteriously developed, allowing him to join the scientific police research department as a genius scientist. He uses neuroscience to solve difficult cases and dedicates himself to brain science research. Haruka Ayase, who previously collaborated with Kimura in "Legal Hero Special," takes on the role of the "assistant" in this drama; while Hiroshi Mizushima, fresh from his winter drama role as a "handsome butler," plays the detective. Moreover, every episode of the story invites major celebrities from the entertainment industry to make guest appearances. In the first episode, viewers saw Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa and Ryo Hirosue; the second episode featured the singer Gackt; and the third episode starred Kamenashi Kazuya, a junior from Kimura's agency.
