After a series of confusing rumors about the viewership ratings, it has been confirmed that Takuya Kimura's new drama Mr. Brain episode 4 "Mr. Brain" will officially premiere on May 23rd. In the show, Kimura's character encounters an accident which enhances his brain's thinking ability, transforming him into an eccentric neuroscientist dedicated to solving a series of cases. His assistant is portrayed by Haruka Ayase. Kimura, who has played numerous diverse roles, mentioned that the character Ryuji Tsukumo is rather comedic, quirky in nature, and his attire is quite striking, far from being handsome. It is said to be the most "strange and bizarre" role he has ever played. The show also follows the trend set by the previously popular "Detective Galileo," inviting big-name stars as guests each episode. Ryoko Hirosue and others are set to appear successively. The first episode of Takuya Kimura's new drama "Mr. Brain" achieved the highest rating for the spring season with a 24.8% viewership rate, surpassing his last major drama "Change" from last year. In the story, Kimura plays Ryuji Tsukumo, who suffered a head injury while working as a male host five years ago. Afterward, his brain developed mysteriously, allowing him to join the Scientific Police Research Department as a genius scientist, using neuroscience to solve difficult cases and dedicate himself to the study of brain science. Haruka Ayase, who previously collaborated with Kimura in "Legal Hero Special," takes on the role of the "assistant" this time; while Hiroshi Mizushima, fresh from his role as a handsome butler in the winter drama, plays the detective. Additionally, every episode invites big names from the entertainment industry to make guest appearances. In the first episode, Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa and Ryoko Hirosue were seen; the second episode featured singer Gackt; and the third episode starred Kamenashi Kazuya, Kimura's junior from the same agency.
