In Episode 20 of the Korean drama "Brilliant Inheritance," Eun-seong (played by Han Hyo-joo) is a pure and beautiful young girl. When she was six years old, her mother passed away due to illness, and since then, she has been living with her father and younger brother. During her high school years, her father remarried, and Eun-seong gained a stepsister named Seung-mi (played by Moon Chae-won). Her stepmother, Baek Sung-hee, is a deeply calculating woman who outwardly shows great care for Eun-seong and her brother but secretly schemes to take control of her father's wealth.
When Eun-seong's father’s company suddenly faces bankruptcy, he succumbs to the pressure and passes away, leaving all his assets in the hands of the stepmother. As a result, Eun-seong and her brother end up on the streets. By chance, Eun-seong secures a job at the Jeongseong Food Company. After overcoming numerous challenges, she eventually achieves success and finds true love.
Go Eun-seong – Played by Han Hyo-joo
24 years old, a woman like a wild chrysanthemum. Although her appearance is not glamorous, her pure looks become more attractive over time. She has a simple and trusting nature, always optimistic and positive. Since losing her mother at the age of 11, she has often felt lonely and lost inside. At the age of 20, when her father remarried, she formed a new family with her stepmother and stepsister Seung-mi. Despite being the same age, Seung-mi never opened up to her. Seo Yu-hwan – Played by Lee Seung-gi
27 years old, grandson of President Jang Suk-ja of Jeongseong Foods. With a handsome appearance, he grew up in a wealthy household under the care of his grandmother, thus lacking any real concept of money or the future. When he was six, his father died in a traffic accident right before his eyes. His mother sympathized with him for losing his father at such a young age, while his grandmother, cherishing him as the only descendant of her son, pampered him excessively. Consequently, he lived a life akin to a crown prince, believing that everything should revolve around him without considering others' perspectives or feelings. He is arrogant and self-centered, refusing to wear clothes more than once and frequently changing sports cars. Once passionate about the guitar, he stopped playing after being ridiculed by his art-ignorant grandmother. Thinking, "Once my nagging grandmother is gone, most of the property will be mine," his plans are disrupted when his grandmother brings in a frail girl and announces she will give all her property to her. Not only that, but the elderly lady also declares she will cut off all his financial support. In order to reverse this absurd situation, he reluctantly follows Go Eun-seong to learn how to manage things and surprisingly finds himself falling for this adversary, feeling flustered by his own actions. Meanwhile, Eun-seong has caught the attention of a mature and perfect man named Joon-se, and on his side, his high school friend Seung-mi enters his life.
