Brilliant Inheritance Episode 18 Plot:
In Episode 18 of the Korean drama "Brilliant Inheritance," Eun-seong (played by Han Hyo-joo) is a simple and radiant young girl. After her mother passed away from illness at the age of six, she lived with her father and younger brother. When she was in high school, her father remarried, bringing into Eun-seong's life a new sister, Seung-mi (played by Moon Chae-won). Her stepmother, Baek Seong-hee, is a deeply calculating woman who outwardly shows great care for Eun-seong and her brother but secretly schemes to get her hands on Eun-seong’s father's wealth. When Eun-seong's father's company suddenly faces bankruptcy, he succumbs to the stress and passes away. All their assets are taken by the stepmother, leaving Eun-seong and her brother homeless. By chance, Eun-seong joins the Jeongseong Food Company. After many trials, she achieves success and finds true love.
Go Eun-seong - Played by Han Hyo-ju
24 years old, a woman like a wild chrysanthemum. Though not glamorous on the outside, her pure looks become more attractive the more you look at her. She has a simple and trusting nature. She approaches everything with positivity and optimism. Since losing her mother at the age of 11, she has always felt lonely inside. At 18, her father remarried, forming a new family with her stepmother and stepsister Seung-mi. Despite being the same age, Seung-mi never opened up to her. Growing up, she had little interest in studying but loved tasting delicious food, thanking God for giving her a body that wouldn't gain weight no matter how much she ate. Due to her love for eating, she developed an extraordinary sense of taste and fell in love with cooking. Her hobbies include eating, and her talent lies in cooking. She accidentally saves the president of 'Jeongseong Foods' and forms a bond, eventually becoming the heir to his legacy.
Seo Yoon-hwan - Played by Lee Seung-gi
27 years old, the grandson of President Jang Suk-ja of 'Jeongseong Foods'. Handsome in appearance, he grew up in a wealthy family under the care of his grandmother, thus having no real concept of money or the future as an adult. When his father died in a traffic accident before his eyes at the age of six, his mother sympathized with him for losing his father at such a young age, and his grandmother doted on him as the only descendant of her son, leading him to live a life akin to a crown prince. He believed everything should revolve around him, never considering others' positions or feelings, arrogant and self-centered. He would never wear the same clothes twice and liked frequently changing sports cars. Once passionate about the guitar, he stopped playing after being mocked by his art-illiterate grandmother. 'Once the nagging grandma is gone, most of the property will be mine,' but then out of nowhere, the grandma brought a frail girl, announcing she would give all her property to her. Not only that, the old lady said she would cut off all his financial resources. To reverse this absurd situation, he reluctantly follows Go Eun-seong to learn, discovering he actually likes this nemesis, feeling flustered by his own actions. Unexpectedly, Eun-seong has a mature and perfect man, Jun-se, by her side, while he himself has his long-time high school friend, Seung-mi, by his side.
