Takeda and Takahashi to star in the second season of the family drama "The Way of the Married Couple" this spring in April!
The first season of "The Way of the Married Couple," which aired in April 2007 and was highly praised, will return with a second season titled "The Continuation of the Way of the Married Couple" this coming spring (April 2009).
Of course, the leading roles will once again be played by Takeda Tetsuya and Takahashi Junko from the previous season. Focusing on the couple who runs a tea plantation business, the story unfolds in a small world that weaves together the relationships between husband and wife, parents and children, siblings, and neighbors, depicting the "trivial matters of daily life = household affairs" that arise from these human interactions.
Heading the cast as the Komatsu couple, Kosuke and Satoko, portrayed by Takeda and Takahashi, all other characters are reprised from the previous season. The children's roles are played by Nanhai CANDIES' Yamasaki Shizuka (eldest daughter Natsume), Takuma Seiko (second daughter Yachiko), Honkari Yuka (third daughter Wakaba), and Suzuki Yuuto (youngest son Shigeru). Additionally, renowned actors such as Hashizume Isao, who plays young Kosuke, and Sakura Saburo, who plays the son-in-law Yamazaki Masahiro, will also make appearances.
The production team remains the same as the previous season, with producer Yanai Mitsuru, known for his work on "3rd-Year Class B, Mr. Kinji," screenwriter Yasuo Shimizu, composer Misa Jo-no-uchi, and directors Hiroshi Kiyohara and Susumu Oka. Filming has already commenced smoothly in mid-September. Look forward to its premiere in April of this spring!
