In 2007, as the world was busy welcoming the major event of the 2008 Olympics, Hong Kong students were focused on an important battle — the approaching Certificate of Education Examination. Yet, nine young men and women found themselves bewildered at the threshold between adulthood and childhood, caught in the virtual world of the internet, text messages, and material desires, as well as a cruel reality. Their restless yet fragile hearts resonated with each other, seeking under the blazing sun the love and freedom unique to youth. Is there truly nothing new under the sun? Each increasingly absurd little story quietly unfolds, starting from a mobile phone video. The group's mutual dependence gradually turns into distrust, their protection for one another into suspicion. The crumbling friendships, fragile romances on the verge of breaking, family bonds, and the impact of death and life instantly wear down the sharp edges of youth, pulling the youngsters back from a carefree land of freedom to the real society. Yearning for the brilliant freedom of youth, they shout out loud under the scorching sun, declaring their passionate and candid coming-of-age manifesto!!
